FX5 Spraybar?

so i built both the double spraybar and the single one. here are pics of both... its all made out of 3/4" PVC and will be painted black with krylon fushion... not sure which one im going to go with just yet but im leaning twords the double. when the pics were taken the PVC was just dry fitted, and no holes were drilled yet

parts list:
1x 3/4" x 10' PVC tubing
8x 3/4" 90* elbows
2x 3/4" endcaps
1x 3/4" Tee fitting

total cost for these 2 spraybars was about $25.00, including the $7.00 PVC cement.

hey guys any idea of what size holes i should use... i have a total of 22 holes drillled at 5/32" should i go bigger. im going to be using an Eheim 2217 rated at 209gph. should i go bigger on the holes?

I have about 20 1/4" holes in mine for a fx5 and I like the flow. I'd stick with what you have, you can always go bigger later if you want.

cool. the Fx5 is rated at about 4.5x more than the 2217 so i think it should be fine... thanks

ok, update. picked up the Eheim 2217 today and found out that the return hose is about 1/4" ID which means i either have to find PVC small enough to make an adaptor or remake the spray bar out of smaller PVC.

but in a twist of fate i opened the box and found out that Eheim includes a spray bar with the filter, so i still have a spray bar set up on the tank
