Find someone with a healthy established tank and then ask if you can run one of your filters on that tank for 24 hours or more.
Since you have the 1500 and it has been up and running for a while, this might not be the best idea. Running your filter on someone else's tank is a GREAT way to import parasites and other nasties into your aquarium. If you really want a good, clean jump on establishing the filter, get some bio-spira and use it.

Tank needs to be cycled.

Thats why I used the word: healthy...

the tank has been up and running for almost a year, and the cascade has been on there for about 4 months, the prior filters were not powerfull enough but the tank was crystal clear? i have no idea what is going on but im hoping within a few days its all better

Indeed, you did use that word. Most parasites and diseases are not visible (or, not easily visible) to the naked eye, and fish can be carriers or infected and not show symptoms. The OP has had the 1500 running for 4 months, it most likely has a good supply of bacteria in it... more than enough to seed the fx5. Time is what he apparently needs now.
