i took it up with paypal and my cc company. i really doubt paypal will get anybody their money back. hope you guys all used credit cards!

Agree leave it open. I would encourage everyone to send pm/email saying you want a refund and that you're going to try to get your money back. Then either call paypal or your credit card company asap and see what they can do.
Worse comes to worse I believe the admin can decide to give you name/address/tele if he used the correct info, if after sometime you guys here nothing and don't get your money.
