Fx5: the foam along the outside of baskets?

I recently purchased a used Fx5 and thought I had it completed but after looking at the users manual I see foam along the outside of all the baskets. I have been searching online to purchase them but cannot seem to find them? Does anyone know the exact name? Also I want to know if my media is setup properly? Mind you I'm just using the Fx5 for filtration. On the top basket I have Eheim Substrat, and on the bottom two I have the Fluval pre filter media. Sorry I'm quite new to cannister filters, Thanks in advance.

go to your local pet stores that sell fluval filters and parts. they should have them. also, you can try ebay.

Nope. The water flow down the sides of the baskets FIRST. Then through the sponges and up the side of the center of the baskets and then down into the center of the baskets to the pump.

as said above, the foam along the sides of the basket is the first level of filtration, then down through the baskets(top,middle, then bottom) and back into the tank.
