dixon, so before you said the eheim was a better filter, but now because you own an FX5 - you believe it to be the better filter ;)

I have 1 FX5 running and was impressed enough to order 2 more....
Love the Eheim's as well, will always use their pumps, but Fluval has my vote for this canister.

FX5

:grinyes:
Funny, when criticism is discussed, you're the one to call it quits ("smart" pump performance automatically reduced, an FX5 user who added fluidized sand biofiltration to his FX5 set-up, another one reporting shaky parts, ...).:
You guys sure know how to beat a dead horse to death  There have been polls, more threads, fights, difference of opinions and everything in between....

Here you sense a victory, and you're bouncing up the walls...

But: If you run a statistical analysis, the results are not significantly different. People call that deuce. (I used GraphPad InStat V 3.06, contingency table). Output below.;)

Ive had fluvals for years with no troubles at all, (granted not the FX5) but I plan on getting one or two. My friend doesnt like Fluvals an is now starting to dislike his Eheims. IMO both filters have the up sides an there down sides. Fluvals have made great additions an changes since the 03 line, (i still have two 403s to) an just recently got a 104.
