fx5 work/not work

okay...so i unscrewed the motor out..i couldnt open up to the propeller area because i did not have the tooks to. but i didnt hear or see any rocks, i turned it on and the propeller span fine...what could be the problem?... i really need this filter up and going as my tank is getting cloudy and dirtier everyday...i cannot afford another filter because i got this one was brand new and got rid of my other fluvals..

the blue fx5 pads? yes i am using those with ceramic rings and carbon...how do i check the propeller?

That is probably your problem. The blue pads get clogged up to the point where they wont let any water through them. Seriously, I used them for the first few months I had my tank set up, and I used to change them about once a month, and by the time I changed them they would be so clogged up that I could literally pick the basket up and the water would stay in it. You should definitely stop using those, and if that doesn't fix your problem, then you need to also clean out the canister itself, and the hosing.

ohhhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyy goddddddddd i took some out that were super dirty that i didnt even know it was there!! they were so black lol..soo i took out 3 out of 5 that was in there LOL and put the other 2 in seperate trays. plugged it back in and now working like new!
