Hey All

I have a 125gal with 2 fx5 and was wondering the optimal setup of the filters, should I keep the setup the same (sponges and biomas) in the 2 or should I do 1 with sponges and the other with biomax?
I have about 30 cichlids 2-6 inches

kepp em the same as they are. if you have just biomax in one they'll get clogged up faster. and youll have to wash em. if you have the sponge in just one itll be easier cleaning because you only have to open 1 canister. but i would say "keepe them the same"

i would just use 1 fx5 but its up to you.

Keep them the same and it will enable you to service them without impacting your tank. I run only 1 FX5 on my tank and am happy with it FYI, crystal clear. Are you using two for a future larger tank or something?

No Im using them just on that tank, and I have a maxi jet 1200 on too

ya one should be good enough. i have one on my 120gal, and looking throught the length of the tank ( through 6ft of water) it is crystal clear. one will turn your tank like 7-8 times per hour. and those arent cheap.
