Fx6 won’t work

my BRAND NEW fx6 has stopped working and I’m damn near taking an axe to it then setting it on fire. I switch the red knobs to vertical and it won’t do a damn thing. It doesn’t do ANYTHING if I plug it in. What do I do?

The motor won’t even turn on.

First did you fill up the can most of the way?

It may be the FX doing its thing. When you first plug in an FX4 it goes thru a self controlled phase were it gets any air out of the can. This takes like 5 minutes or so

Yes I did completely fill it up.
I’ll give it 30 minutes.

FX series of filters can do a lot of different things. You can use it to drain your tank. Get the vac attachment and you can use it to do the gravel vacing.
The motor has a microprocessor in it. So when you first plug it in there is a small burst of water so it can figure out whats it's doing. As a normal filter it does about 5 minutes worth of purging any air in the can before it starts full flow rate.

When I plug mine in, it makes a gurgle bubbleing noise for a few seconds. Then quite for a while then begins to pump.

If yours don't do that then there may be something wrong, take it back and swap it with another in store.
