Thank you. YOur the best.:headbang2

That pic gives me the impression that I should start practicing cast netting so I can be prepared for a dream trip to uruguay.

Thanks for all the info and great pics. I've got some good ideas for the tank when I bring the balzani in for the winter. All the pics make me want to go to Uruguay pretty bad. Now how to convince the wife to let me go...

Another question, what is a good ratio of males to females for the balzani? They'll be in a 75, I was thinking 2m/5f.

2m/5F is good.

Bring your wife. Mine (and my 3.5-year-old at the time) came on my first trip. They had a great time and stayed at a beach house (that Felipe reserved) for the days that I was away collecting. We also went to Argentina for a few days prior to the trip.

Been back solo a couple of time since but a guy from Canada and his wife came last trip. I'd like to bring my daughter on the next one. She'll be old enough to go fishing!

Matt

I currently keep 1m to 5 females but that is only for breeding purposes not display . This mix often leaves me with two or three girls with fry at the same time.

I've been out if SA cichlids for so long I don't really know what ratios should be like. I've been keeping Malawi cichlids for a while and with them it's good to have dom and subdom males with a harem of females. Don't really know if it should be the same with SA cichlids. I will encourage breeding if it happens, but also don't want a bloodbath with fighting males.
