Good news!! well I went to Lowes and they had everything minus the PVC paint but with the cost of everything and still need a pump I may pass on the painting...
i dunno what potable means but here its drinking water safe.. and yes gray is conduit/electrical... though in canada.. who knows.. but chances are its the same
as for why you cant find it... i can only come up with is that its not allowed for household plumbing/sprinklers due to the fact that canada gets cold in the winter (unlike socal) and pvc is not known for its ability to withstand freezing when its full of water... the black stuff (abs) is used for drainage/waste water so in theory its never under pressure... or maybe canada just hates pvc.. who knows
well I decided to go to Lowes again tonight... well the fittings I picked up were for a specail 1" pvc pipe that looked to be 30yrs old and $20 a stick....
jeez $20 a stick.. thats friggin nuts..... i hear the stuff is way expencive in australia as well..... hmmm.. think about it this way though..... you can get milk in bags.... ive yet to find milk in a bag ANYWHERE in the US.. ive lived in like 7 states and been to just about all of them... no milk in a bag anywhere....
