Gachua couple therapy?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry , Really hard to guess gender. I could not tell from the video, Gaucha are one of the more difficult to id gender on because their is so much variation in the complex. Head shape differences are also one of the hardest things to spot on channa even with a known male/female sitting side by side you'd have to know what your looking for to see any difference.

Unfortunately even if it is a male & female that you have pairing them like this has very minimal chance of success. It's more likely that aggression will escalate and One will dominate the other and either kill it or keep it driven into hiding until stress does it in.

Love the tank mates though! I want to stick a big school of barbs in whit my auranti, I'm sure from time to time one will get eaten but I'm OK with that !

Thanks, Devon.
As I expected, it will not be easy ... Well, I'll let stay together a little longer, and if things get worse I'll see if I can swap one for the other fish. If not I will give it.
Thanks for the compliment to the tank mates. Probably I would donate these fish if Gachuas formed a couple. But, apparently, I will stay with them a little longer. I have a lone Odessa Barb, who came in the middle of Conchonius (Barb Rose).
Thank you, really.
