Just got my new gachua,and I'm trying to determine where its from and what its called

Might be hard to determine exactly where they originated from,maybe look into the dealer that sold them and see if they're able to locate that for you.GL

it will be impossable to give you an exact location from pics , you need to know where they where collected , but they do look like indian gachua ,variant is poss "calcutta" as they do look very similar to mine. but could not be certain

What temp levels would it tolerate if it is a "calcutta" varient? I found some pictures of similar channas in pallestopheles keeping contidions thread, that was from Thailand.. I starting to understand the impossibleness

Very nice looking gachua speciman. Looks rather big, what size is it?

I havent had a chanse to measure it yet but Im pretty sure its somewhere around 20cm. I hope it will add on some length but I guess its pretty much grown up

8inch, possibly female? Age of speciman, do you know? If fully mature, if anything... will most likely grow larger in girth (thicker) than in length. But u never know? Be sure to keep us updated and posted of its progression.

I actually know just about.. nothing ^^ Im new to keeping snakeheads, and the lfs didnt even have a certain name for it when I bought it.. I'm looking all over for info so hopefully it will all come down to something

Does it look female? Sure, I'll post some pics later when it settles in. hopefully the stripes will come out more
