tell us more about making your own fish food? whats it made from and the process?

The cat is a Bengal....we have two and they are the greatest cats of all time! they act very much like dogs most of the time. If you have the energy, I highly recommend them.

as for fish food, here is what I posted elsewhere in this site:
I take a pound of uncooked shrimp or fish
a pound of peas
a quarter teaspoon of liquid bird vitamins
a couple tablespoons of spirulina powder
(I don't add the geletin anymore - its a pain and has no value IMO)

put in a blender/food processor
make into paste
spoon into sandwich bags (makes 4-6 bags)
flatten it in the bag until it is 1/4 inch thick
freeze

to feed, thaw a bag until you can break off chunks.

I feed it every other day
the rest of the time I feed a quality pellet food.

Nicetanks and cats, I used to deal with servals for a while (pics in gallery). I like the homemade fish food idea. I was just reading an article about that in the Aug. 06' Tropical Fish Hobbyist.
 
i really like your tank man!! i will soon do the same...just need more info on the plants. i also think that its good for the fish to have lots of plants in the tank.
