Gallon question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok. YEa i rlly didnt think plants were all that possible.

And i wanna do something like the 5000gallon jardina tank.

I mean, they are, and they have a lot of benefits, you just have to do a little extra work to have them. In a pond with big waste-producing fish, anything that reduces nitrate is your best friend!

Would java moss work??

If you get some lights, yeah, but, as I said, the light has to travel a few feet... for lighting, we just went with some track lighting so we could see the fish. I have no idea what kind of lights you'd have to get for that... probably some more research would let you know.

YEa but java moss goes on the surface and floats there.

No, it grows attached to driftwood or clay pots, from everything I have seen.

kk. nvm wait could u put like the school lights in the corners on the way down. Kinda like have a clear tubing run down the corners. And have lights in there???

I'm not sure what you mean. Either way, this doesn't fix the problem that you're going to have a fish which is 4 or 4 and half feet long knocking stuff over. They just kind of get where they need to go -- I have a feeling your plants would constantly be getting uprooted and floating. I guess this goes back to my question about whether or not you've actually seen one of these guys at full size. If you had, you'd kind of know where I'm getting at.

I have. I am saying That u take lieka square tank. U got 4 corners. U put a like a tubing a clear tubing. And put a light in there. Kinda like on school ceilings they got light covers. Like that but without little wholes on the outside. And there clear. U get what i mean. Even if i dotn do plants it will help with lighting.
