Would I be able to use a galvenized tub for a pond. Galvenized is the stuff that is sealed correct. If not then is there anything that I can use to seal the metal. I would rather not use a liner because they are ugly. I want this to look really clean. Is there like a paint or something I could use on the metal to keep it from leaking metals into the water if galvenized even does leak metals. Thanks for the help.

Most people that keep fish in galvanized tubs do so with a pond liner between the metal walls and water. Galvanized tanks may have a fine coat of oil as a rust preventative. Also, under aquarium conditions, the metal may leech toxic levels of zinc into the water (may cause lethargy, disorientation, gastroenteritis, demensia, etc.). You may be able to seal it with 2-part marine epoxy (same stuff plywood aquarium builders use).

it has to be painted because it will leack zinc use the epoxy paint for pools

Ant suggestions on what to paint it with. I wish I could just get one of those plastic ones but I can't fit it into my basement...

Check out the polyethylene bins at aquaticeco.com. They have sizes up to 650gals that'll fit through standard doorways. They'll even install a 24" x 24" lexan window (or 2) so you can see into the bin for a normal aquarium view.

Would a metal primer work? I don't wanna spend $150 on a marine paint. I could do a liner for $40 as a last resort I guess.

Thanks but know I need to find where/how to get it... I can't find a price or anything on that website?

Well we measured it out and we are going to try and get a round plastic one down there now. If we cannot though I am deffinatly going to use the stuff you suggested. Thanks a lot.
