gap between each spawn?(red devils)

my red devils have spawned the first time ,but while spawning the male kept eating the eggs and the female kept laying eggs.Any suggestions ??when wil they breed again ?and is it normal for the male to eat the eggs in his first attempt ?should i get another male?? this pair is about 4 inches .

hello,i think the male needs some more maturity.maybe,he does not know what to do so give him a few tries and i think they will breed again after around 2-3 weeks and do u live in vasant kunj,delhi

Yep. This happens often with first timers.

Sit the male devil down and give him "the talk". Eggs are for fertilizing, not for snacking on. Or put divider next to eggs so he can fertilize through the divider.
