hey guys at the moment i got a 12'' silver aro with a 6'' silver aro and a 6'' jardini along with 2 other 6'' senegal bichirs in a 4 feet tank. At the moment the tank size is still ok so will keep it for now
would throwing in a gar kill them? i read thr some posts and 1 comment was that a gar and a silver aro killed each other while gars and jardinis dun get along while gars r fine with bichirs
so consdering the composition of my tank, would a gar be ok?

cheers

gars and bichirs would be ok, not sure on gars and aros but the jar will kill everything eventually, they are like time bombs, once they reach a certain size they are murderous...

My gars and aros are fine together but that is a lot of aros in that one tank!

actually your jardini will kill everything.

so my jar is just waiting for itself to get big enough to kill all of them? damm....never knew it was so sinister man

actually man it all comes dow nto the individual fish.

some people have jar on this fish board that are wussies.

but it is most likely you jar will be pocessed once he gets to a certains size

Out of the dozen or so large jardini I've kept 12"-20" I've never had a jardini that wasn't aggressive to its tankmate and especially to other arowana.

delgado - the jardinis here that are wussies are probably juveniles.

Mine was a wuss until it hit 8 inches or so, then it suddenly turned and started ripping everything up.

It's feasible, but you have to look out for your jardini. It's a hit or miss thing. Some are passive and some are agrressive.
