gar breeding

I just ran across an old thread about a guy in costa rica breeding gar. Has anyone else here had any luck with breeding gar?

I tried breeding Florida Gar but had no success at all.

Doesn't mean you can't try; you might have better luck than me. I'd suggest doing a lot of research.

I have seen it done in massive, outdoor farm-quality ponds. I've never heard of it being done in other conditions.

I'm hoping to get my outdoor gars (2x longnose gar & 2x alligator gar) to breed in a few years. They're in a ~96,000 gallon clay-bottom pond, so I'm hoping that I'll get some little longnose gars, alligator gars, and/or Croc III hybrids. I still want to get a few older adult gars for in the pond, so that I'll hopefully get babies sooner than later since alligator gars take a while to mature.
