I've kept the Croc 1 in the past (and may pick up another).. Really I have no real interest in keeping them as they are more of a curiosity. From a scientific standpoint they have some value but as aquarium fish go I prefer to stick with the nominal fish..

When i was flounder giggin one night, a friend of mine gaffed a decent sized gar for no reason and it angered me. After he stuck him and called me over i yelled at him and then we let him go and he went str8 to eating the little fish! Simply amazing, i dont think he made it though :( Who knows.

my dream gar, the golden one...

maybe one day i will have a tank with 6 of the 7 gar species. minus the gator gar.

if you have something like a dream tank of gars or something to do with gars post it here.

i nearly have my gar dream tank...give me about a year and i'll be set!

Gars are pretty fun to keep
I had a northern pike before though and he was cooler than a gar (much more active and ferocious)
