ll, I was look at the fins and body since the side look on the snout didn't really do anything because some of my spotted have thicker snout than that.
 
Not gator. Shortnose more than likely. Gators have 4 rows of teeth on top jaw. Snout is 1/3 the total length of head and wide. Teeth are the give away though.

if you count that way then I could say they have 4 row of teeth, but all gar will have that 4 row of teeth. It is that gar in genus Atractosteus have their inner row of teeth more prominent.
And the snout is a lot longer than 1/3 of the head.
