Gar hybrid

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wait, what? My original guess from back then as well as what you thought they were at the time might be incorrect?

What did you guys do; mix a bunch of gar milt from a few species/hybrid(s) in a bucket of eggs to see what happened?

And so the waiting game begins, I guess.

Wait you will have to.... But I will say no buckets involved...

A natural breeding, eh? That would explain the possibility of hybrids being made if I'm thinking you two did what I think you did considering the typical gar mating behavior.

Or are you just messing with us?

Gonna have to wait as that info is not coming out until publication...

When is that info being published and in what journal(s)? I want to read what you have on this matter as well as other gar research topics.

^+1

I'm staring at my 3 floridas and 1 gator and getting ideas. I may need to invest in more gators.

Whens publication?!?! Im intrigued. Any of those off spring survive?? You can tell us that cant you?

I'm also interested in that publication.

In regards to the croc 1s, are there any that are known to still be alive?

publications of this sort take a loooooong time relatively speaking, chances are we'll have some preliminary stuff that is worth sharing before actual publications come out, but rest assured it's all being worked on--

PS-- maybe just 1-2 croc I's that we know of. i haven't even thawed the big frozen one i have to take a good look at it (and i've got a dried specimen sitting around too).--

Any chance you can share if any of the fish survived??
