Gar ID - Take a Guess...

since there are a lot of juvenile gar ID questions floating around, i figured it would be fun to throw another one out there into the mix. take a guess (obviously richard, you can't take 'a guess' on this one) --

Aww come on I can't "Guess"... Well OK maybe not seeing as I could even ID that one 10 feet away while half awake and slightly hungover...

Just to make this a bit more interesting though and maybe even educational. Instead of just saying...

"It is a _______" how about adding the reason you think that is what the species is..

i agree, how about explaining said guesses...that and multi-species guesses are invalid...may as well say "i would guess a member of Lepisosteidae".

...and yeah, given slight hangovers it was nice of a gar to show up on the station doorstep...--
