GARS AREN'T ILLEAGAL IN MA!

no alligator gars are illegal in MA, and thats what they were listed as, they had about 7 of these in a tank labeled alligator gar. So i bought 1 under the impression it might be alligator gar.

if I had a dollar for every ID thread involving a florida gar, I would have a lot of dollars.

This should be renamed the Florida gar forum..... Seeing how many posts there are, it is amusing how few can recognize this common species...There are tons of threads showing this fish over and over... Really they are rather distinct and easy to ID to a 90% probability..
