it looks somewhat to me like a alligator gar/needlenose im not completely positive but others im sure can give you a 100% on it.

They were sold to me as spotted... but they might be short nosed. What do you think?

its a gar so it can't be a needlenose! doen't look like a gator with that head.
it might be a short nose !
