Gar Identification

i thought it seemed much more contrasted than most florida/spotteds. maybe ive just never seen a normal one...lol

keep in mind that a gar's pattern, even when a small juvenile, has a lot to do with it's environment and stress level. although pattern is also variable due to genetics as well, most juvenile Florida/spotted gars can become as contrasted as this one, or as light as a shortnose--

Thanks again for all the help. I got this guy when he was about 3" - he was the runt in the tank, and he has been growing exceptionally fast.
