Gar not eating feeders?

mine like ghost shrimp they are hard for him to catch though
he also likes comets, rosey reds, minnows,glolight tetra( very small ones though), and guppies (always been his fav)

Hi guys just a bit of an update on my gar,as suggested i put some guppys in and he ate two a day till they were gone he had 12 and hes had another 4 since! Slow going i know but at least hes eaten some of them,i also took him to the vet and he gave me some antibiotics and he has picked up a bit,so im going to let him eat the feeders that are left and then try to get him to eat something else-hes not grown any more yet though,but early days

Hi mate.the only way i could get some antibiotics was to take the fish to the vets as they cant give drugs out without seeing the fish,luckily hes not very big so put him in the box my rtg was transported in and he was examined and the vet gave me some drugs which have certainly perked him up.
I could have had a call out from the vet but with the drugs it would have been about £80!
My mum sat with the box on her lap,she got a bit wet,i think i put too much water in lol!

Is what safe? If you mean the transportation of him,its only like bringing him home from the lfs isnt it,it seems to have worked,not sure if it was the drugs that have cheered him up or the nice drive out in the countryside!!! Lol!
