Judging from the girth of your fish - very fat, that is, it could be an ovipositor tube, much like a female cichlid about to lay? That, of course, depends on how large / how old this girl is...

Leave it to fish geeks to misidentify a vagina as a penis...

Torsp, thank you for the pictures.

Polypterus, Torsp's pictures show it clearly. The tank was not clean when I took the picture, it appeared dark..thus I turned on the flash. I have just done 100% water changing and need to charge the camera battery before updating.

To update on the issue, the white thing has broken but now there is fungus developed in its anal.. have added salt and increased temperature.

Wow! This is all very strange. I need to go see if my fish has one. Just a minute......................Nope. Everything in my tank is A-Okay! But, I will keep an eye open for it.
