Gar Quiz - the return - ID the fish

shortnose...head/snout structure and body pattern...

I am leaning to agree somewhat with Micheal. At first glance I see a Shortnose gar, but the coloring is a little bit off from the shorties I've seen (and kept), and that snout seems too long and skinny to be pure Shortnose, but too short to be a Longnose.

I've also seen that pic before somewhere, but I can't remember just where it was...

Even though I want to go out on a limb and say short/long hybrid, I think I'm going to go with a Shortnose that has slightly odd coloration...
