Gar Temp

that temp range is fine, as stated above. gars have a pretty wide range of temp tolerance, and even temps at which they can do well. FLG, CBG, TPG are somewhat more nuanced in that they prefer the warmer side of the temp range (especially CBG and TPG), and most species will slow down or cease growth below 65-60F. nice thing about gars is that any of the species will do fine in tropical conditions, so 78-82F works as well.

consistency of temp is obviously good, but since they are highly tolerant of a range of temps, the important issue is slow transition and not abrupt temperature shocks. good luck--
