Gar with Atlantic ray..............

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah, i wouldnt add the live rock... i would just keep it sand, you can add some bigger fish in with him, just make sure he cant eat them, your bact should be fine because they will start to evolve as the tank changes

you also dont want nippy/overally agressive fish with the ray

heres a link to liveaquaria's (drs foster and smith) SW compatiblitiy chart

bring your tank up slow..... mild brackish....then brackish etc over a good amount of time

You could add some of the smaller type groupers or other larger saltwater fish, so many to choose from. Personally I would stay away from live rock unless you want to get head over heals into it. Saltwater is just as easy as freshwater when you are keeping just fish. If you start adding live rock, live sand, and corals then you up the difficulty level and the risk of things going wrong.

cool, thanks again for the info, i'll keep it in mind when i start adding fish. i probably wont add much with the ray, maybe only 1 or 2 fish over a few months. just to be on the safe side.

just rock is not a bad thing.... perfect bio filter...
