Garage pond

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
good luck with you build! i built a 500 gallon in my garage last january. i know you already started, but one thing i wish i had done was put more and bigger viewing windows in the sides to see the fish. also, just from my experience, i built the same trim idea around the top for looks and support, but my center stilll started bulging when i filled it and had to go with a center support on top to hold it. just some advice from my experience. good luck with your build!

Thanks for the advice guys. There are no viewing windows in this. I can afford OSB but it is only to support the frame for the liner. It's not there for structure. For the center support I Am going to try and figure something else out because I really do not want a center support. As far as the hurricane clips go. I cannot install them now.

Only problem is that paint is meant to over concrete. There's never any shifting and no seams. Try redguard. They also sell it at home depot. It's meant to go on plywood to waterproof a shower before tile is installed.

To get away from a center support, attach two or three boards together to use as the top board.
