Garbage seal?

I probably already know the response this will get, and I'm on my way out the door to get a replacement right now...

This is a 75gal I bought brand new (tank only) in June. Last week during my water changes I noticed this startling white strip in the seal on one corner. Panicking, I dug out photos from when I first set it up and you can actually see that it's been there since day 1. No idea how my serious OCD tendencies missed it. 6 months later it doesn't appear any worse. Hard to get super clear photos of. Never seen a seal do this on any of my god knows how many tanks in 32 years. Thoughts?

Marineland from petsmart? I have one that looks just like it running for around a year now i think. From what i can see on mine it looks like the glass was put together too tightly and the “white” area is glass on glass instead of silicone there. Same as yours mine has not spread or got any worse but i do look at it and worry just the same to an extent. Mine is in a basement fish room right next to a sump pump basin so i really wont care if she blows 😂… at 29g ive had far worse fish related and flood problems over the years.

Yours looks to have a good inner seal regardless of the glass on glass i can see. If you havent drilled it i think u can contact marineland/top fin for a warranty. Worth a call at the least to try.

Lol 100% Marineland from Petsmart. Yeah, I think your theory of it being glass on glass might be accurate, but I'm an over thinking worst case scenario type person lol.

They had a sale on them for Cyber Monday so I picked up a replacement for $150 (CAD - regular price is $330) but I'm super annoyed about having to swap it out.

There cheap… y i have a few over here as well… every holiday is basically half price and hard to pass up 😂🤦‍♂️… id still run the old one in a place that worst case scenario is fine if u can lol. Good news on the new one tho 💀🤙
