Lots of people have fed garlic to arowanas, Asian, Silvers, and otherwise with no issues, and certainly no deaths. I suspect that your aro was already knocking on heavens door before it ate the garlic soaked food.

Very informative thread indeed...

I fed all my fish today a dried shrimp soaked in fresh garlic juice...

The only Cons is the smell, Truly horrible...
I had to start ma Activated carbon filters to nullify it ASAP...

RD you Stated that you feed a pellet that already contains garlic in it, which pellet brand is this and can you find it at local petstores or do you purchase it online, i currently have several clown loaches and i dont know if it is because they are bottom dwellers but alot of them suffer from a probelm called skinny diease which is short for internal parasites and wanted to see if using garlic would help them, ive been looking for levimisole for quite some time now and I havent had any luck in stores or online. Now also I was thinking about soaking some bloodworms in garlic powder or fresh garlic oils do you think that is a good idea also for how long should i treat my fish with garlic 7 days, or just incorporate garlic into there daily feed from now on ?

Everything in my fish room eats NLS. (New Life Spectrum) The loaches shown below were grown out on an exclusive diet of NLS pellets.

But don't expect garlic to cure your fish if they are infested with worms. You need to treat with a de-wormering agent, such as Levamisole. Here's a good read on the subject.
