I do realize that I just posted pics a little over 2 weeks ago, but these guys are growing really fast and taking on new appearances. I'm also running out of time to take close-up, relatively decent pictures. These guys are moving into a much larger home where pics will be challenging until they are much larger.

Very impressive looking gars! However, they don't seem like the usual florida gars and they do resemble the spotted gars I've seen in pics though.

nice!! any confirmations on the ID though?:D

it's a combination of fishes for sure...definitely some shortnose in there, longnose and maybe spotted as well. this is the issue with getting multiple species from the same area, although since we have done so from the same region we can now start to separate them out. will be hard to confirm all the species until we have recent shots of all of them, but def shortnose in there--

Those guys look fat and sassy! Very nice! can't wait to see where they are going.

Thanks Monsterminis. I'll make sure to post plenty of pics of their new home as soon as possible. No Id confirmations yet...

looking forward to seeing updates and in their new home. not sure what you are referring to via highlighted section...we have confirmed that at least some of them are shortnose...would just need individual shots to confirm the ID of others...after this much time we should be able to tell with relatively high certainty. hope they are all doing well--

Looks like 1-2 longnose mixed in with the shorties for sure, though maybe a few more weeks to 'grow into' the snouts will eliminate that ID opinion from me. Doubt it though

Don't understand the highlighting situation. When I look at my last post, nothing is highlighted. In your post of the quote from me it is-weird. If I did highlight it somehow it wasn't on purpose.
