some people have it work. i cant. my 2 smaller floridas love to eat any and all plants. ludwidgia is the only one i got to work for a few months then they ate it. Watet lettuce was gone in less than a week

I use willow hygro in mine. They leave it alone, it grows very fast and is a good nutrient exporter.

I have one high piece of driftwood that just breaks the surface. Several large anubias are attached to it towards the top and my Florida loves resting under the canopy of leaves.
