I read they released alagator and spotted gars in lake ontario, i dont get it how these gars are gonna survive if they are tropical?@?@?@

Whoever told you alligator gar is yanking your chain. As for spotted gar I would assume they'd stock the tribes of Lake Ontario and not the lake itself. Their native range is north as Ontario.
Yes those gar are not tropical at all, they can just tolerate warm water. Alligator gar used to go quite far up some rivers. I was just reading a post about it here but cant remember.
