yea,i meant juvies.
below 6 inches.
unfortunately for many of us,we cant feed 4 - 6 times a day.

A juvie can't go several weeks without being fed.

I just feed them in the morning and a few times throughout the evening (on work days). On weekends i try splitting it up more evenly. It takes a little more effort, but results in awesome growth and a very healthy fish. You also have to keep in mind the extra water changes this feeding schedule demands.

my little (18or 19in) gator gar only eats maybe once a week some times only a few times a month.he has always a really light eater so much so i thought he was gonna starve when he was little but a year and a half later he is still a real light eater.the up side is is he isn't really active he just kinda slowly cruses the tank

I give up... Nobody ask me for Juvenile / Yong of the Year gar advice again please, as I'm not going to give it to you....

Your not going to listen or comprehend... I'm not wasting my time. There is no point to this exercise in futility. Let the dude that starves the fish and has had them for two weeks tell you how to keep them... When you FAIL just remember the info was here for you....
