Where do you get your fish? I have only seen like five of the species you keep at lfs's in Louisville.

What lfs do you go to? The rarest freshwater fish I've seen around here are probably silver arowanas, though I know of a place in Indiana that occasionally gets some less common fish.Conner;3798040; said:I had several of the fish shipped (stingray and spotted gar), and I drove 2 hours one way to get the shortnose gars. Otherwise all of them have come from the lfs'. A couple of them occasionally get in a decent fish, many times not seeming to know exactly what they have... The datnoid was probably one of my better finds, although my pike cichlids are pretty nice too. Unfortunately the only rays I can find near me are retics, and they just don't do well.

I also have a 3,500 gallon (15'x7'x4') pond outside for the gars to go into this spring. The motoro stingray is only about 6.5-7 inches right now, so it will be at least a year to a year and a half before I need to upgrade. Next time try to read what I actually said before you try to lecture me.
