As far as the biting and musking goes, I have had both happen to me. the worst is when you get musk in a bite. If you think it stinks you should feel it sting OW!

nah. i've had wc watersnakes before, he didn't make me get rid of them.
he doesn't care much if it's aggressive, he just ignores my pets.

Luckily since he's a juvie, his musk doesn't really stank yet. He basically defecates on me.
 
the only garter i was ever bit by was one of the only ones i ever had as a pet. the ones i find in the wild are usually too small to hurt when they bit but they never do... they only musk but i would prefer bitting over musking less smelly =p
