^ I came across the same scenario a few years ago when I was out mowing my yard. The garter was trying to pick a fight with a toad that was WAY too big for it to eat.
Here's a pic of my setup for my 2 hatchlings. 2.5 gallon kept at around 85 degrees. On the little branch it gets around 90 and in the plant it's under 70. Generally I must heavy over the weekend and let it dry out over the week. One of them is curled up in the corner and the other is coming out of the plants. The one in the corner is currently in shed and so is my big boy so I don't have any close ups of the snakes. Ill get some ASAP!
kept a few wcs as a kid this was my first snake i ever got bit by lol mine would eat guppies and night crawlers i did nt think to offer pinkie parts though didnt have them for too long cause after i saw my first cali king everything changed.
