I was thinking pretty much the same thing about 40 minutes ago but I had a talk with my mom and she told me I was being cold hearted and needed to put my self in there situation even if I was smart enough to leave. And I aint gonna argue with momma. :grinno:

I did say I feel bad for housing and equity. I do feel bad for those who made the smart choice to leave and have nothing now. I don't feel bad, however, for those that did not leave and only cost more in setting up rescues and what not that further delay processes of a disaster recovery.

Prices....yeah, my home town raised twice atleast today and we're up to 3.30$ a gallon. Your teacher is right minus the fact that it very well could excede $4 even. As long as we're not paying Europes prices....3-5 dollars/LITER....not gallon.

pure genius.

HEMI, sad thing is the old first production hemi's got almost the same milage. Why did you buy it again?? I'd cry for you but you did make the choice to buy a vehicle that burns 2-3 times more gas than most.... Are you atleast using it....eg. towing or hauling things?? I'll have no pitty otherwise :grinno:

my mom leased a sanada for me to drive to school, i use almost a 1/2 gallon every day for the ride to school and back..... i get stuck in traffic because soccer doesnt get out until 6 or so.....

i also get to drive to school around 6-630 so i hit both traffic waves

the only goosd thing is i get 38 miles to the gallon on the highway and 26-28 in the citys/towns/traffic

I lucked out when my Toyota Tundra was totaled by a drunk driver a few months back and Insurance bought me a Nissan Frontier 4 cyl. The Tundra was decent but the Nissan is excellent. Gas prices are making me ill and the timing is horrible. I just got me an apartment and I'm moving out on my own for the first time and will barely be able to make it on my job. My personal opnion on George W. and the gas prices is that he could give a rat's ass about it. Haliburton has contracts in the middle east, Cheney and Bush are loaded and nothing else matters. He's a lame-duck president now so he doesn't care what he does. I'm no liberal...very conservative for the most part and was at one time a big supporter of the war. Bush needs to blow off Iraq for 5 minutes and focus on getting this country in order...

I say a lot of 'ditto's' to that but.... I don't totally blame Bush for the oil. We've known for years through many administrations that more refineries were needed. Only problem is gov. didn't wanna help with it and no one wants to put one up on thier own and most of the states don't want one in the state. You can't 'make' a state take something it doesn't want. Again, stupidity and stubborness. But yes, we do need to concentrate on here right now and getting the refineries in the Katrina area cleaned up and working again....but the wonderful Corps of Engineers did some half @$$ planning many moons ago and that won't even be possible for quite some time. So now everyone suffers for a small sum of people poor decisions.

yah I agree with alot of that. well there isnt anymore gas left where I live =( I filled up less then half a tank at the last gas station with gas and it was $15 about $2.89 suprisingly cheap everywhere else is $3.25 per gallon
