UV is good for up to over 3000gph
That rating is for the housing, not how the UV will function.
At 57 watts, you could push 570 gph through it and be assured of max benifit.
The rate you propose to run, I`m not even sure it could control algae.
But Hey,
It`s your system, do it the way you want.
where are you getting your numbers from? this particular sterilizer has 60,000 µw/cm2 (EOL) at 1600gph and 90,000 µw/cm2 (EOL) at 1100gph where is roughly whre this pump will be after heat pressure and gate adjustment.....and at 90,000 µw/cm2 (EOL) this is the amount for sterilization....so im not worried about the size of my UV or gph through it..what im more worried about is mounting it horizontal with the inputs and outputs facing down, which im afraid will cause air pockets to form in the body of the unit..or will the water pressure push these all out?
