I'd like to use a gate valve in the bean animal drain I'm planning.
Who makes a quality PVC gate valve?
I've also discovered while doing my research that you can't find a gate valve with the built in unions common on ball valves. That came as a surprise to me.

I wanted a clear one and was able to find it on www.flexpvc.com ordered the wrong size the 1st time...what size are you looking for ?

I need an 1-1/2" for the bean animal drain and a 1" for my tank drain.

I'm planning a 1" drain in the bottom of the back panel to make it easier to drain the tank quickly. I guess a ball valve would work okay but figured a gate valve may be safer because it wouldn't be as easy for somebody else to inadvertently open the valve (like a grandchild LOL).

I would use a ball valve for the 1" drain in the back. I think you will find that a gate valve will be a pain to open and close that often. If you're afraid of it accidentally being opened, you can always put a double valve on it, one at the tank and one at the end of the line where it drains. This way both would need to be opened before the tank will drain.
