Like I said, It's been done but you are always taking a risk.

I have had ATF eat huge things...
And IMO, a 12 inch GATF could swallow a 5 inch armatus if it wanted to.

would the same need to be done to keep a silver fish hateing tat from attacking my cuda altho im not getting a silver hateing tat just two normal tats

It probably would be better if you had a school of Silver Fish instead of one to keep the aggression down between the Tat and them.

Oh and ALL Tat's hate Silver fish there is no regular Tat and Silver Hating Tat ;)

Payaraman do you have personal experience with either of these fish?

Couple years back I owned a 14" Goliath that was on feeders and feeders only (to this day he is still on feeders:screwy:)

I also wanted to try this mix and if I remember right, I introduced my Armatus around 7-8". No problems what so ever. I am the one who tapped out in worry of loosing the 2 prize fish I loved so much at the time.

I think hey were together for a few months or so. Armatus was probly 12-13" when I broke up the combo (I have an old pic in my album :D)

I think gatfs vary in temperment... my guy was a wuss (flawless tankmates was proof of that Lol)

If your GATF shows no interest in attacking other tankmates (that vary in size) then that is the best sign of a possible combo.
Armatus on the other hand is a straight killer and will slash when he wants to (its the Armatus that you must worry about IMO)

G/L with the combo :D

I've owned one of them, I've had 2 Yellow Tail Barracudas and I might not have owned a Tat before but I've read up on them for hours straight before.

i also have a silver needle nosed gar and a school of three 5-6 inch silver dollars i think the tats would focus there aggression on the sds wich stay in the lower and middle levels of the tank my cuda and gar stay at the top of the tank would there be less aggression between the cuda and the tats if this is the case?
