In the long run this will be a very difficult combo to keep unless you: Obtain or grow the GATF to 15" first and have a very very large tank. 600 gallon + Much bigger would be better. Right now I have a 12-13" GATF and a 14-15" Orino together in a 300 gallon and the orino beats on him constantly. The orino has gone from 7" or so to his current size in the last 6 months. I have grown the gatf from 2" to his size but I've owned him for 3 years. It's only going to get worse for me since the orino eats about 10x more than the tiger.

Feeding wont do much. GATF growth rate is quite slow...Slender body design doesn't help. Cichla will end up eating it. You need to grow it out on its own, or hold back on cichla.

fish paste.:( i guess he will be by himself.

in just a few months the cichla will try to eat the GATF.
i would know...
apart from that there arent any aggression problems.
