thanks, i have 2, the first one i kept in a 2ft for a period of time, much calmer but his face looks like a pancake. they're pretty okay in the 4' at the moment, they're only what, 6" or so. water quality wise, they're pretty fine, but get fin rot pretty easily and in my experience the tail does not grow that nicely after that.

tankmates, 2 alone in a tank is a bad idea, they'll murder each other. a few more calm tankmates, it's okay.

not really. my gatf(at the time 4.5") never touched my 1.5" mala and they've comlpetly left my 2 2" barras alone. but they take inch big feeders now.
