GATF feeding

He's gotta be 20"+ but I typically undershoot size estimates. Really getting impressive to see in person, pics and videos don't display scale very well. Big enough that I'm not looking forward to climbing in to reattach a 4" strainer the rays managed to decouple this week lol.

He has been eating an absurd amount of food since being transferred into the big tank.

This morning I threw in 10mm sinking pellets slowly one at a time to count, and he took down 20 in just a couple minutes.

My focus has always been the rays so in the past he's had to adjust and eat leftovers of what they eat.

Dry food:
Northfin 10mm sinking (its the rays primary pellet)
Hikari jumbo sticks (the arowana's main food source)

Looking good Reed! thanks for sharing, i am living thru you with the gatf right now, as i lost mine a few weeks ago. Not sure what happened, was fine one minute and ate the night before, left for an hour or two came back to a gatf getting chewed by the rays. He was just now getting on pellets, and would eat any prepared filets.

Dang, real sorry to hear that.
I'll try and keep some more frequent updates coming now that my year long restructuring of systems is done.

He is getting some size on but he seems like he had somr damage and his snout looks shorter too. Is that just me or am i seeing something there? Glad to see he has progressed immensly on u. Mine is over 2 feet now. Not much less then the 30" blk aro i have with him.

Thanks Phil. May just be his body has gotten bigger making his nose/mouth area look smaller in the video. His proportions don't appear changed much in person.

Tried hanging a light above the tank to try and get a video of size perspective without too much glare. The light change seemed to spook everyone in the main tank.
