I have two that are about 4" each in a 150 with some danios and white clouds. I am hoping that with smaller fish to hunt and 3x 50% water changes a week I will see some growth. When they hit 6"-10" I can put them in the main tank with the other similarly sized tank-mates.
I'm not sure I agree with that statement. I think food sticks are more nutritionally balanced and have vitamins and trace elements that live food may not have. Besides the risk of parasites which one of my GATF did acquire and eventually die of.

Any thoughts to using a powerhead or circulation fan to create a strong water current for fish and maybe make him work harder to swim for growth and possible more appetite, almost like it's natural enviroment. Yes, No! I have been think about experimenting with this process to see if it help any.
Plus I think its an individual fish issues IMO, becasue I had two GATF purchased in May in a 55 gallon, both were power fed minnows all the time, kept the tank full of minnows. One grew from 4'' to 7'' in about 3 1/2 months it seemed, unfortuanly I moved him in with a 9in Tig, so he would not killed the slower growing GAFT, but the Tig disposed of him one night I left the light off on the aquarium, this was in August. The one I still have is only maybe 6'' now in a 75 gallon by himself, but it has been all of 8months. I am giving him until the end of the summer to make it to the big tank, if he is not at least 9-10 inches, I am giving up!
