Hey guys going on month 7 of gatf shoaling fever with no problems as of yet, barely a few scales missing on these guys with little to no aggression so I'd say I'm doing pretty well. Just added another beastly circulation pump now pushing the tank to over 3k gph of current and customized them to also throw oxygen. Heres a couple pics of the setup. Everyone's on silversides with the occasional live treat but seems to be working out. Impossible to sex these guys perhaps all the ones who attack eachother are males fighting for dominance? Anywho let me know what you think of the tank, thanks!

Nice stock! The tank is looking good!
Kinda plain but you need that open space for the gatf so it makes sense.
Those powerheads sound cool. I need to get me some of those that spit out oxygen too.
Good luck!

Thanks man! Yeah I'd add more but these guys are crazy swimmers so they require a good open footprint. I just cut some tubing and ran it close enough to the propellers of the circulators till the suction took over, works great and you don't loose 800gph switching the heads

My ATF seem to adore eachother I don't understand why people are having so much trouble with them

The only explanation I can come up with is same sex causing territory issues or poor environment conditions being current, oxygen, space, and tank mates

Or simply not feeding them enough..?

Great tank! Keep us posted and I hope that works out for you.

well i had over 2000gph on my 125gal and it didnt seem to help any. they were well fed every day. i had mine about the same time frame as yours. i think mine just didnt work mainly because of size diff and growth rates amoung them. if yours continue to grow the same it may still work for you. or it could just be like most jardini and it is just a matter of time. not enough people risking it to see an average yet. gl with them. i am now much happier with my vatf!

Nice and I'm loving that VATF!!

I don't think they have settled in just yet. 1 month is not long enough to say much. Some show aggression sooner than others but I would say it's going in the right direction. Once 6 months hits, you can say it is working a whole lot more confidently. JMO.

All those air bubbles doesn't annoy you? I had a set up similar w/the air and it bugged the crap out of me haha. I like tiny micro bubbles. I added a air line w/not much air pumping out and placed the air stone where the powerhead sucks up the water (behind the impeller). Every air bubble that gets pushed out, gets sliced up. To each their own, just thought I would share what I do to balance the fish need and the eye need Lol.

G/L, hope it works for you :)

Thanks man, I hope your wrong about the jardini comment haha so far I've yet to see any aggression but as they get larger and the tank gets smaller I could see problems arising, but until then I will continue to document and update :D
