Gator gar with other gars

I have a 24 inch alligator gar and a 14 inch Florida gar, they get along pretty good as long as you keep them fed. They are often on the same size of the tank and have been together for a while. It all depends on what you are doing to keep the peace. If keep them fed and have enough space, you should be fine.

In the past, I had only a slighter smaller Longnose Gar with Gator Gar before and worked seemingly great until the day one of Gator Gars got excited during feeding and grabbed the bill of the Longnose. Didn't try to eat him, but let's just say Alligator Gar got some powerful jaw pressure... Quite upsetting, it was like it happened in slow motion....
